Creating Textures in Pen & Ink with Watercolour with Claudia Nice -- DVD

This is a two DVD set. It contains the same material as the Video Tapes. The combination of the boldness of pen and ink, the subtle qualities of watercolor and the creation of texture are only as limited as your imagination.

Part I -- Follow Claudia as she expertly demonstrates a range of textural techniques such as contour lines in a smooth onion, jagged and smooth rocks with cross hatching and a velverty African violet with stippling to name a few. You'll understand the bold contrast of light and dark tones, before the entire pen and ink skills are brought together in a dramatic seascape with watercolor.

Part II -- You'll learn how to create criss-cross lines for soft fur, wavy lines that imitate wood grain and even how a kitchen sponge can be used to make a pebbly beach. Brush techniques are introduced to create clouds and for a grand finale, Claudia combines all of the techniques learnt into a beautiful painting of a soft and gentle cat.

Painting Nature in Pen & Ink with Watercolour with Claudia Nice - DVD

This is a two DVD set. It contains the same material as the Video Tapes. In this instructional DVD set, Claudia begins by showing you the basic techniques involved with watercolor. She introduces ways you can add vitality to a picture with the addition of pen and ink.

Part I -- Starting with a simple shell, Claudia progresses to painting leaves, birds and landscapes. By simplifying a picture Claudia demonstrates how you do not have to paint everything you see to create beautiful pictures.

Part II -- Claudia demonstrates the use of masking fluid and highlights the effect sand can make by adding texture to your pictures. Claudia also reveals how to paint a scene from two different photographs, creating your own landscape and draws together all the tips and hints throughout the DVD to paint a lovely waterfall scene.
